How We Price for Projects at Make Bespoke Studio

At Make Bespoke Studio, we understand that every interior design project is unique and requires a tailored approach to pricing. Our goal is to provide transparent, fair, and detailed pricing structures that reflect the bespoke nature of our services while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Here’s an overview of how we approach pricing for our projects:

Initial Consultation and Brief

The journey begins with a comprehensive consultation where we delve into your vision, requirements, and budget. This step is crucial as it allows us to understand the scope and complexity of your project. During this phase, we discuss:

  • Project Objectives: Understanding your goals and desired outcomes.

  • Design Preferences: Gathering information about your aesthetic preferences, functional needs, and any specific materials or styles you envision.

  • Budget Constraints: Discussing your budget to ensure our proposals align with your financial expectations.

Concept Development and Proposal

Based on the initial consultation, our design team crafts a preliminary concept that encapsulates your vision. This concept is accompanied by a detailed proposal that outlines:

  • Design Elements: Key features, materials, and finishes proposed for the project.

  • Scope of Work: A breakdown of the services required, including design, manufacturing, and installation.

  • Preliminary Cost Estimate: An initial cost estimate based on the proposed design and scope. This estimate is itemised to provide clarity on how funds will be allocated across different aspects of the project.

Detailed Design and Costing

Upon approval of the preliminary concept, we proceed to refine the design details. This phase involves:

  • Technical Drawings and Specifications: Developing precise drawings and detailed specifications to guide the manufacturing process.

  • Material Selection: Finalising materials, finishes, and components. We provide samples and mock-ups to ensure you are satisfied with the choices.

  • Final Costing: Updating the cost estimate to reflect any changes or refinements made during the detailed design phase. This final costing is comprehensive and includes all aspects of the project from design and manufacturing to delivery and installation.

Manufacturing and Installation

With the design and costing approved, we move into the manufacturing and installation phase. Our pricing at this stage covers:

  • Manufacturing Costs: Based on the custom nature of the pieces, including labour, materials, and any specialised craftsmanship required.

  • Project Management Fees: Covering the coordination and supervision of all aspects of the project to ensure seamless execution.

  • Installation Costs: Detailed costs for the delivery and installation of the finished pieces, ensuring everything is perfectly placed and functional upon completion.

Flexible Payment Options

We offer flexible payment terms to suit your needs, typically structured as follows:

  • Initial Deposit: A deposit to secure the project and initiate the design phase.

  • Interim Payments: Scheduled payments throughout the manufacturing phase.

  • Final Payment: The balance due upon successful installation and final approval of the project.

Transparency and Communication

Throughout the entire process, we prioritise transparency and open communication. You will receive regular updates on the progress and any potential adjustments to the timeline or budget, ensuring you are always informed and involved.

At Make Bespoke Studio, our bespoke approach to pricing ensures that each project is accurately and fairly priced, reflecting the quality and uniqueness of our work. By working closely with you from start to finish, we ensure that your vision is realised within your budget, resulting in exceptional and personalised interior design solutions.

For bespoke projects, our estimation department calculate prices based on the materials to be used, quantities of items, and to a certain extent, the complexity of the pieces. Manufacturing for a global market means we are able to give quotes in a number of currencies, so let us know if there is a preference. We will often, as a matter of course, also request prices for alternative finishes, which can then be included as price options in the initial quotation you receive.

 Material Selection

We’ll discuss alternative value engineering options that might be considered once we have an understanding of the project requirements in greater detail. With our manufacturing experience, we can offer advice on selected materials and talk you through the pro’s and con’s of alternative solutions.

Once a project goes ahead, we move to the development stage where we'll then provide a complete set of fully detailed shop drawings for approval.
