Chucs London

Chucs has 5 restaurants and cafés across London. They have been designed as an ode to old-school ambience, aiming to capture the essence of glamorous socialising in the heart of the city with interiors by boutique interior architecture and design hospitality specialists Fettle. An important part of achieving the appropriate atmosphere was specifying the correct lighting. Fettle realised their requirements for Chucs at Old Brompton Road, Ecclestone Street and Lower Sloane Street. The fittings comprise layered brass shields with Fresnel glass panels fitted to the underside. Andy Goodwin, a director at Fettle Design says: “The lighting is always of the highest quality and their finishes are superb. The semi-flush pendant that we designed for Chucs is relatively unusual and as such we wanted to work with a supplier that we know and trust to deliver a piece that the client team would be happy with.”

“They are very communicative throughout the development of the lighting, from technical drawings to construction. And because they are so knowledgeable about the manufacturing processes, our design decisions are much more straightforward.” “Their help with providing samples and their process for signing off technical drawings makes them both pleasant and easy to deal with, which we and our clients value.”

The success of the project at Old Brompton Street led to Fettle commissioning us for further Chucs’ venues with unique, high quality lighting handmade in our factory.
